Elnora Wood

Elnora Wood, age 84 of Leitchfield, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Facility in Leitchfield. She was born August 26, 1928 in Edmonson County, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Sanders) VanMeter. She was married to the late Charles 'T-Berry' Wood and a member of the Anneta United Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Gary Thomas Wood of Leitchfield, two daughters, Mary Lee Ferguson (Ray) and Lynn Annette Farris (Robert) both of Leitchfield, four brothers, Virgil VanMeter of Brownsville, Larry, Eddie and Dudley VanMeter all of Leitchfield, one sister, Dorothy Jaggers of Kyrock, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Other than her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Willie VanMeter, and three sisters, Cova Duncan, Dean Cockriel, and Ruby Cook. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, (May 9, 2014) at the Anneta United Baptist Church in Anneta. Burial will be in the Anneta Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10:00 a.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Anneta Church Cemetery Anneta, KY
