Elsie Mcdonald

Elsie Mae McDonald 90 of the Bon Ayr community of Barren County, died Monday August 14, 2006 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of Woot and Myrtie Pursley Thompson. Her husband was the late Oscar Berton McDonald. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and was a member of the Merry Oaks United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter Ruth Jackson and husband Donald of Smiths Grove; 2 grandchildren Teresa (Garry) Jones of Red Cross and Tim (Michelle) Jackson of Glasgow; 2 great grandchildren Jamie Jones and Jonathan (Stephanie) Jones; 3 nieces Judy Rogers, Linda Bailey and Beverly Cowles and 1 nephew Danny Haire. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers Kenneth, James and Edwin Thompson and 3 sisters Charlotte Richey, Donna Haire and Eleanor Lay. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Merry Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Tuesday.
