Elvis Kinslow 86 of Glasgow died Thursday February 12, 2009 at his home. Born in Barren County the son of the late R.S. Kinslow and Julia Jane Houchens Kinslow and married Fannie Powell Kinslow September 8, 1951. Mr. Kinslow was a Farmer and a retired employee of Fred Smith Motors in Glasgow where he worked as a mechanic for 30 years. He was a U.S.Army Veteran and a founding member of the D.A.V. Chapter 20 Color Guard. Mr. Kinslow was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served as a deacon for 23 years. Survivors include his wife Fannie Kinslow of Glasgow; 1 son Van Kinslow (Nina) of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Tina Gay Michelle Perry(Joseph) and Eric Van Kinslow both of Glasgow; 2 sisters Opal Chambers(Jessie Frank) of Glasgow and Jamie Workman(Leonard) of Edmonton; special brother-in-law Ray Powell(Ruth Ann) of Glasgow;3 sisters in law Lebie Kinslow, Mary Belcher(Edwin) and Eliza Dar(Ray);several nieces & nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 3 brothers Louie, Bob & Charles Kinslow and 3 sisters Helen Dee Keith, Katherine Isenberg and Geneva Kinslow. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Monday February 16, 2009 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery Visitation will be after 5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Military honors will be provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow
