Emily Garmon

Emily Gladys Garmon 92 of Glasgow died Sunday June 1, 2008 at the NHC Heathcare Facility in Glasgow. Born August 23, 1915 in Barren County the daughter of the late Edward Leech Jolly and Letha (Cooksey) Jolly and was the wife of the late Valiant Garmon. Mrs. Garmon was a former employee of Folks Department Store on the Glasgow Square for many years and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons Larry D. Garmon (Cecile) and Roy L. Garmon (Jane) both of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Mary Leslie Sarasin (Ronald) of McLean, VA, Leigh Ann Strode of Glasgow, Jeff Garmon of Corbin, KY, Eric Garmon (Mindy) of Glasgow and Andrea Gentry (John) of Glasgow; 6 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by 3 brothers Paul, Robert Lee and Leon Caldwell Jolly and 1 sister Louise Johnson. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday June 3, 2008 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00am Tuesday until time for services. Family request that memorial contributions be made to the Mary Weldon Library 107 W. College St. Glasgow, KY 42141
