Emma Jean Carter, 91, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born October 31, 1932 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Merritt Harlan and late Dorthy Mary (Jones) Harlan.
Survivors include her loving sons, Roger Carter of Glasgow and Larry Carter (Karen) of Park City; her daughter-in-law, Renee Carter of Sturgis, Kentucky; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly seventy-five years, Julius Carter; her son, David Carter; her grandson, Clinton Carter Cook; great grandson, Aiden McGee; two brothers, Hugh and Richard Harlan; and one sister, Wilma Williams.
Mrs. Carter’s family has honored her wishes of cremation. There will be a celebration of life ceremony at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 6th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until time for the service. Please share your condolences with the family at www.afcrowfh.com.
