Emma Lou Simmons Pendygraft 71 of Glasgow and beloved wife and mother, died Saturday January 22, 2011 at her home. She is the daughter of the late James E. and Beatrice Barbour Simmons. She was a homemaker and a wonderful hostess who made everyone welcome in her home. She loved God and was an active member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Neil Pendygraft; three daughters, Shelly Murley, Julie (Steve) Skipworth, and Tracy (Ray) Haddix; one son Jamie (Brandy) Pendygraft; 9 grandchildren, Julie Danielle Cawthorn, Dennis (Chip) Murley, David Murley, Robert and Eric Skipworth, Cameron and Rebekah Haddix and Travis and Trent Pendygraft; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister Betty Hopkins and 9 brothers, James Robert, Bill, Kenneth, Roger, Delmer, Leroy, Danny, David and Tony Simmons. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gideon
