Emogene Button

Emogene Greer Button, 87 of Glasgow passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at her home. Born in Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Maude Underwood Greer. Mrs. Button was a homemaker and a member of the Caney Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by 8 children, James Howard (Mary) Button, Jeanne Lanham, Jeanette Vaughn (Jimmy Combest), Janet (Bud) Wyatt, Steve (Phyllis) Button, Danny (Karen) Button, Barry Button and Sherri Sherfey; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Paul and Billy Greer and 1 sister Bess Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Ellis Button; 2 sisters Mary Frances Elliott and Tress Garrett; 3 brothers John, Stanley and William Dean Greer and a great-grandson Carter Hiser. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 26th at Caney Fork Baptist Church with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3pm until 8pm and Sunday from 9am until 12pm at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and will continue Sunday at the church from 1pm until time for the service.
