Eric Mcdowell

Eric Kendall McDowell 53 of Glasgow died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his home after a long illness. Eric was a graduate of Glasgow High School and had attended Western Kentucky University until becoming ill in January 1984 with renal failure. He received a kidney transplant in 1985. His interests were reading, coin and stamp collecting and basketball when he was able to maintain these interests. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Elaine Childers McDowell who died earlier this year. He is survived by his father, Patrick Edward McDowell of Glasgow; 2 brothers Mark Edward McDowell (Erin) of Louisville and Everett Lawrence McDowell of Glasgow; 2 sisters Lorri McComb (Tom) of Gallatin, TN and Eileen Stockham (Jeff) of Somerset, KY; his nieces and nephews, Alyona McDowell, Haley Stockham, Katherine Stockham, Jonathan McComb, J. D. Stockham, Ben McComb and Nathaniel McComb. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, May 23rd at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 until 2:00pm.
