Ernest Duncan

Ernest Paxton Duncan, 61, of Leitchfield, passed away Monday, September 5th, 2016 the Grayson Manor Nursing & Rehab. He was born on Wednesday, February 23rd, 1955 Daviess County, the son of the late Quentin and Ora Ree (Young) Duncan. When Ernest was able, he attended the Little Clifty Baptist Church. He worked for Western Rubber Company for more than 15 years. Ernest is survived by one son, Jeremy Duncan (Heida) of IN; one daughter, Angela Hale (Jason) of IN; two sisters, Mary Jo Crawford of Leitchfield and Alice Willoughby of Louisville; five grandchildren, Ali Duncan, Chelsea Duncan, Amaya Duncan, Hannah Duncan and Addison Hale and two step-grandchildren, Keegan and Ian. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Rex, James, and Jerry Duncan; five sisters, Rosie, Elwanda, Dorothy, Louise and Madeline.Funeral services will be Thursday, September 8th, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Sonny Whitley and Bro Gerry Otahal will be officiating. Burial will be in the Cane Run Cemetery in Horse Branch.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service.
