Ethel Garrett

Ethel LaVerta Holt Garrett 62 of Glasgow died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Glasgow, KY she was the daughter of the late Virgil Holt and Jocie Pearl Jackson. Mrs. Garrett was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Glasgow. Survivors include her husband Kenneth Wayne Garrett of Glasgow; 2 sons John Garrett and Daniel Garrett (Kylie) both of Glasgow; 2 daughters Leonetta Cook (Pete) and Diane Gentry (Ronnie) both of Glasgow; 9 grandchildren Carmen Cook, Caitlyn Cook, Brandon Owen, Justin Gentry, Chris Gentry, Michelle Gentry, Jesse Garrett, Joshua Holt Garrett and Sarah Garrett all of Glasgow; 4 sisters Ruby Jolly (Leonard) of Glasgow, Virginia Ousley of Glasgow, Edythe Nole and Clorine Nein both of Indiana; a sister-in-law Dorothy Gibson of Glasgow, a brother-in-law Albert Marcum of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Herman and Loyed Holt, 2 sisters Oletta Brison and Sharon Marcum and a brother-in-law Everett Ousley. A celebration service of Mrs. Garrett's life will be 3:00pm Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
