Etta Houchens

Etta Gertrude Horton Houchens 87 of Glasgow died Thursday January 22, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Beattyville, KY the daughter of the late William Jackson and Eva Whisman Horton. Mrs. Houchens was a former supervisor for the Handmacher Company and was a housewife and attended the Coral Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Guy Houchens, a brother Coleman D. Horton and a sister Beatrice Shaw. She is survived by her son Kenneth Houchens of Boston, MA; 4 sisters Janice Smith of Dayton, OH, Terry Poore of Campbellsville, KY, Naomi Mathews of Glasgow and Valera Baker of Greenwood, IN; a sister-in-law Helen Horton of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday January 26, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 8:00pm and Monday morning until time for services.
