Eunice Poland Eaton, 89, of Glasgow, formerly of the Flippin Community of Monroe County, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Barren County Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Mecie Freeman Shockley. Mrs. Eaton was a retired seamstress at Gamaliel Sewing Factory and caretaker for elderly after moving to Glasgow. She was a former member of Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Flippin and later joined Coral Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her nephew and caretaker David Shockley and wife Magdalene of Glasgow; several other nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hersken Poland and Loil Eaton; a son, Billy Clay Poland; several brothers and sisters. Graveside service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Neal Cemetery at Flippin, KY. There will be no visitation. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with services. A. F.
