Evellein Payton, 69, of Caneyville passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on February 11, 1943 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy (Woosley) Parks. She was a homemaker and housekeeper for several in the community. She was a member of First Apostolic Church of Millwood. She is survived by her two sons, Steve Payton and Scott Payton and his wife Nina all of Caneyville and three grandchildren, Shae Ann Neighbors and her husband Travis, Leslie Payton, and Grayson Payton. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Leland, one brother Dewayne Parks and one sister Virginia. Funeral services will be Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Apostolic Church of Millwood. Bro. George Langdon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 12:00 Noon and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30am.
