Evelyn Gentry

Evelyn Roberta Gentry 70 of Glasgow died Friday February 18, 2011 at the Hart County Health Care. Born in Barren County the daughter of the late Paul Piper and Mary Ellen (Etherton) Piper. Mrs. Gentry was a Presbyterian and former employee of Mallory Capacitor of Glasgow. She also provided healthcare for the elderly at there homes. Survivors include 2 sons Mark (Patti) Piper of WI & Rick (Linda) Piper of Bardstown; 5 stepsons Roger (Linda) Gentry, Kenny (Cindy) Gentry, Maxey (Traci) Gentry, Kevin (Judy) Gentry all of Glasgow and Donnie Gentry of TN; 2 stepdaughters Linda (Bobby) Combs & Gena (Jerry) Hagan both of Glasgow; 5 sisters JoAnn Emmert of Louisville, Carol Hunt of Elizabethtown, Ella Hunt of Glasgow, Edith Wilson of Louisville & Irene Mikesell of Louisville; 1 brother Edward (Beth) Piper of IN.3 grandchildren Cassandra O' Brien of Horse Cave, Catrina Piper of Cave City & Amber Breeding of LA; 7 great grandchildren Chaise & Alyse O' Brien of Horse Cave, Brooklynn McCawley of Cave City, Kayla Jo, Cheyenne, Elisha & Brooklyn Hall all of LA; Several step grand & step great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 2 sisters Alice McNear, Ruth Baker & 1 brother Marvin Piper. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Monday February 21, 2011 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation Will be after 1:00PM Sunday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
