Evelyn Mae Woolen, 77, of Olaton, passed away Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, May 27th, 1939 in Centertown in Ohio County, the daughter of the late Claude and Ruby (Williams) Barrett. Evelyn was a member of the Walton Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved her flowers. Evelyn is survived by her husband of more than 57 years, Edgar Lee Woolen; one son, Gary Woolen (Robin) of Horse Branch; one daughter, Arzetta Logsdon of Falls of Rough; one brother, Claude Barrett Jr. of Centertown; four sisters, Edna Garrett of Centertown, Judy Barrett and Connie McConnell both of Hartford and Patty McGoffin of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Heather Logsdon, David Woolen and Kristie Westerfield (Mike) and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Keelee Westerfield. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Cleon Logsdon; one granddaughter, Rachel Woolen and four sisters, Lorette Bartlett, Emily Maxwell, Coriene Phelps and Wanda Phelps.Funeral services will be Saturday, April 8th at 11:00 am at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Mike Taylor will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrady Creek Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Friday after 2:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service.
