Frances Spears

Katherine G. Spears 83 of Eighty Eight, KY died Thursday May 28, 2009 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born in Bowling Green the daughter of the late Manuel Leo Gentry and Luary Nunnally Gentry. Her husband was the late Ralph Wesley Spears. Mrs. Spears was a nurse, formally employed at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, Howard Clinic and for Dr. Robert McKinley. She was a member of the Boyds Creek United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Danny Spears and wife Sandra and Dennis Spears and wife Patricia of Eighty Eight; two grandsons Joshua and Wesley Spears of Eighty Eight; 2 sisters-in-law Fay Ray (Max) of Gamaliel and Mary Melton of Louisville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday May 30, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
