Fred Jessee

Fred Jr. Jessee 67 of Glasgow died Sunday, May 1st at the Bowling Green Medical Center. He was a retired employee of Sorenson Manufacturing where he worked for 29 years. Jr. was the owner and operator of Jessee Lawnmower Sales in Glasgow and was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was born in Adair County the son of the late Fred and Bessie Jessee and was also preceded in death by a sister Vonnie Walls. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Joyce; 2 sons Ricky (Debbie) Jessee and Steve (Amelia) Jessee and a granddaughter Leah Jessee all of Glasgow; 2 brothers Wilbur (Norma) Jessee, and Donnie (Dean) Jessee of Columbia; 2 sisters Zeola England and Lois (Fred) Sexton both of Columbia; several nieces and nephews; 7 step-children Ricky (Max) Proffitt, Sheila (Sammy) Hunt, Derek (Terri) Proffitt and Joy (Steve) Bunch all of Glasgow, Cathy (Johnny) Ward of Dallas, GA, Jennifer (Jeff) Cawthorn of Shelby, NC and Carrie (Joey) Wininger of Wasilla, AK; 14 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday and continue Thursday morning until time for the service.
