Fredie Carline Parrish 82 of Glasgow died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Summer Shade, KY he was the son of the late Fred D. & Sadie Garmon Parrish and husband of the late Edna Marie Stinson Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a member of the Trinity Church of The Nazarene. Mr. Parrish built many homes in the Glasgow community and was the founder & operator of Parrish Carpets in Glasgow for many years. He had a true passion for southern gospel music and was a past member of numerous quartets. Survivors include a daughter Chandra Wesson & husband James of Rochester, NH; 2 sons Freddie Parrish & wife Tamara of Glasgow and Charles Parrish & wife Linda of London, KY; 7 grandchildren Chris Parrish (Rachel), Shane Parrish (Dawn) & Jonathan Parrish all of Virginia, Adam Parrish & Aaron Parrish (Casey) both of Lexington, KY, Dustin Perkins of Louisville, Ky and Summer Childress (Chris) of Glasgow; 7 great grandchildren; a sister Lucille High of Texas and a brother Bobby Parrish (Eileen) of Morgantown. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a grandson Bradley Ray Perkins, a brother Howard Parrish and a sister Virginia Meredith. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
