Fronia Shain

Fronia (Woosley) Shain, 104, passed away at her home in Louisville on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014. She was a native of Grayson County and born to the late Cleveland and Nancy Jane Woosley on August 23rd, 1910. Fronia was a member of the Pine Knob Primitive Baptist Church and retired from the old Grayson County War Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her son, Isaac E. Shain (Dorothy) of Louisville; 3 daughters, Wilma D. Carwisle of Leitchfield, Mary Helen Hawkins (Charles) of Millwood and Ruth Ann Blair (Joe) of Louisville; her brother, Dewey L. Woosley (Phyllis) of Murphysboro, IL; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; 3 step-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Other than her parents, Fronia is preceded in death by husband, Leo L. Shain; 1 grandson; 1 grandson-in-law; 1 granddaughter-in-law; 1 son-in-law; 1 great-great grandson; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.Funeral services will be Friday, December 5th at 1:00 pm CST at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Interment will be at the Deweese Cemetery at Pine Knob. Elder Darrell Risner of the Louisville Primitive Baptist Church will be officiating. Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Thursday after 3:00 pm CST and Friday from 9:00 am until time of service.A special thanks to Katherine Nauert of MD2U, Robin King and all the Hosparus of Louisville team whom cared for her.
