Garland Junior Gentry 77 of Glasgow died Friday July 4, 2008 at Glasgow Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Monroe County the son of the late Ulysses S. and Beatrice Turner Gentry. Junior was a farmer and livestock hauler and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Roberta Piper Gentry; step-mother Mary Edith Anderson Gentry of Mt. Hermon; 2 daughters Linda Combs (Bobby) and Gena Hagan (Jerry) both of Glasgow; 5 sons Roger Gentry (Linda), Kenny Gentry (Cindy) and Kevin Gentry (Judy) all of Glasgow, Maxey Gentry (Traci) of Tompkinsville and Donnie Gentry of Nashville; two stepsons Mark Piper (Patti) of Wisconsin and Rick Piper (Linda) of Bardstown; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren; 2 brothers J.T. Gentry (Shirley) of Jeffersontown, KY and Clifton Gentry (Rena) of Tompkinsville; 2 sisters Christine Turner of Tompkinsville and Abbie Combs (Randy) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by his first wife Nelda Earlene Geralds Gentry, a brother Stanley Gentry and a grandson Thomas Scott Gentry. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday July 7th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Sunday.
