Geneva Taylor Bishop 86 of Glasgow died Wednesday, May 07, 2014 at the U of L Hospital in Louisville. Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late J.P. and Ethel Broady Taylor and was the wife of the late Marshall Brown Bishop. Mrs. Bishop attended Hiseville High School and was a graduate of Glasgow High School. She was retired from the Kentucky Pants Co. and was a member of Browders Chapel Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Bishop Gardner and husband W.L. Gardner, Jr. of Glasgow; two sons Billy Bishop and wife Tootie and Danny Bishop and wife Teresa all of Glasgow; five grandchildren Joseph (Josie) Bishop, Lindsey (William Stuart) Nunn, Chuck (Angie) Bishop, Allison Gardner (Tony) Martin and John Bishop (Resa) Gardner; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister Louise Culver of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers Sylbia and Erbia Taylor and three sisters Opal Botts, Alyne Billingsley and Kathleen Kerfoot. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4pm Friday and continue Saturday morning until time for services. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the church or charity of your choice.
