Geneva Coulter Bridges 75 of Glasgow died Thursday night Oct. 7, 2004 at the Barren County Health Care Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Woods Coulter and wife of the late Willie Murl Bridges for 58 years. Mrs. Coulter was a cook at the George J. Ellis Drug Store fountain for several years and was the Senior cook at Barren River State Park for 20 years before retiring from state employment in 1991. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and more recently had attended the Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by a son Kenneth Bridges and wife Joyce of Madison, TN and a daughter Judy Bridges Lowe and husband Jerry of Lucas, KY; 4 grandchildren Beth Wagner, Matt and Ben Bridges all of Tennessee and Karin Lowe of Indiana; 4 brothers Jesse Coulter of Lucas, Rondal Coulter of Hartsville, TN, Paul Coulter of Glasgow and Dennis Coulter of Glasgow; 2 sisters Mary Key of Edmonton and Brenda Melton of Glasgow. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband a brother Virgil Coulter, Jr. and a sister Lera Norman preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday October 10, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2pm Saturday at the funeral home.
