George Ballard, Jr.

George Dewey 'Hotrod' Ballard, Jr. 64 of Glasgow died Monday, September 15, 2014 at his residence. Born in Barren County, KY he was the son of the late George Dewey Ballard, Sr. and Lenora Chaplin Ballard. Mr. Ballard was a member of the Living Faith Church of God and a former truck driver for Cruse Trucking in Upton, KY, Srygler Trucking in Horse Cave, KY and Sharp Transportation in Ethridge, TN. Survivors include his wife Shelby Ballard of Glasgow; two daughters Cora Jean Stinson and Leslie Nicole Bell both of Glasgow; five grandchildren Chris Morgan, Zach Morgan, Noah Morgan, Nick Bell and Josh Bell; four sisters Margaret Ballard, Faye Stinson, May Wheeler and Chris Reynolds; two brothers General Ballard and Jody Ballard; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home.
