George Brooks

George Bryant 'Earl' Brooks 77 of Glasgow died Monday, July 11, 2011 at his home after an illness. He was born in Barren County, son of the late Barney and Trevalle Davis Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a self employed small engine and lawn mower repairman and a woodworker. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife Jean Coons Brooks; 1 son Gary Stephen Brooks (Marsha) of Merrillville, IN; 1 daughter Karen Skolfield of Hixson, TN; 2 grandchildren Rickey Brooks (Amanda) and Bryan Brooks both of Glasgow; 1 great-granddaughter Makayla Brooks and a step great-grandson Dakota. A brother Milton Brooks of Glasgow also survives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Lee Brooks and a sister-in-law Gracie Brooks. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 15, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
