George Christy

George Delma Christy 72 of Glasgow died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 as the result of an auto accident in Barren County. George was born at Railton, the son of the late Edward and Virgie Humphrey Christy. He was a lifelong truck driver and was an employee of Givens-Houchin Transportation. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife Ada Moss Christy; 5 stepchildren Jeff McCandless of Railton, Deborah Simmons of Glasgow, Rita McCandless of Louisville, Tim McCandless (Joyce) of Canmer and Greg McCandless (Twiana) of Glasgow; 5 step-grandchildren Shane (Kayla) McCandless, Tyler (Andrea) McCandless, Bradley (Lindsey) McCandless, Leslie McCandless and Chablis McCandless; 3 step-great grandchildren Colby, Abel and Kendal McCandless and several cousins including a special cousin Danny Ray Daniels. He was preceded in death by a brother Cordis Lee Christy and a sister Quintella Christy. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, September 7th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5pm Friday.
