George Gilliam

George Lee Junie Gilliam 71 of Glasgow died Saturday September 23, 2006 at his home. Mr. Gilliam was born in Nashville, TN the son of the late George and Mae Gilliam. He was a retired Plumber employed by Plumbers local 107. Mr. Gilliam enjoyed riding horses and was an avid guitar player and played with several country music bands around the Nashville area. Survivors include his wife Evna Hill Gilliam of Glasgow; 2 sons Mike Gilliam (Trish) and Steve Gilliam (Jeanette) both of Louisville; 2 daughters Debra Sower (Lee) of Louisville and Stephanie Hitzner (Adam) of Decatur, IL; 1 brother Roger Dyer (Angie) of IL; 3 sisters Edna Bagley (Larry) of TN, Linda Manuel (Jim) of IL and Pam Whessinger (Pete) of IL. 15 grandchildren that include Tim Guess of Glasgow and 8 Great grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 1 son Robert Joseph Gilliam and 2 brothers Earl Patterson and Gordon Patterson. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday September 27, 2006 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
