George Pursley

George Sherman Pursley 81 of Glasgow died Monday, November 2, 2009 in Glasgow. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Herbert & Mary Alice Davis Pursley. Mr. Pursley was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and attended Whites Chapel Church, he was a member of the Mid-Kentucky Region Antique Car Club and a veteran of the Korean War serving in Company D 7th M Tank Battalion of the U. S. Army. Survivors include 2 sons Roger C. Pursley (Barbara) and Gary Pursley (Melissa) both of Glasgow; a daughter Bridey Baron (Tom) of Vail, AZ; a sister Ruby Wilson of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren, 8 great granchildren and several neices and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Willie Lois Peden and 2 brothers Lonnie Herman Pursley and James Robert Pursley. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
