George Saltsman

George T. Saltsman, 87 of Glasgow, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was the son of the late William and Flora Harp Saltsman. George was born in Grayson County and moved to Barren County in 1936. He lived and worked most of his adult life in Louisville, KY then moved back to Glasgow after his retirement. He was a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church. He is survived by four sisters, Callie Jeffries of Glasgow, Dorine Reece of Glasgow, Stella Gooden (Junior) of Bon Ayr, and Mona Pierce (Windell) of Taylorsville, IN; four brothers, Herman Saltsman (Betty), Hayden Saltsman and Roscoe Saltsman all of Glasgow and William Saltsman, Jr. (Betty) of Columbus, IN and many wonderful nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linnie Fields and Sylvie Saltsman and three brothers, Coy, Roy and Sherman Saltsman. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:30pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
