George Smith

George Edward Smith 74 of Glasgow, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville KY. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late Billy George and Eloise Bush Smith. Mr. Smith was retired from Iron Workers local 25 in Detroit, MI, U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, member of the Masonic Lodge Army and Navy in Detroit and member of the Immanual Baptist Church in Glasgow. Survivors include his wife Martha Cannon Smith, 2 sons Randy Smith and wife Karen of Somerset, KY, Barry Smith and wife Anita of Cambellsville, KY, 1 daughter Lisa Rozek and husband Bill of Brighton, MI, 5 grandchildren Rachel Lynn Smith, Michael James Rozek, Sarah Marie Smith, Sarah Elizabeth Rozek, Jessica Marie Rozek, 1 sister Lois Corritore of Livonia, MI, 1 brother Terrell Smith and wife Rosie of Redford, MI. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, May 4, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Smith-Bradshaw Cemetery with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
