Georgia Firkin

Georgia Ella Firkin 84 of Glasgow died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Edmonton, she was the daughter of the late George William and Annie Lee England Burris. Her husband was the late Jack Daniel Firkin. She was a former employee of Wal-Mart and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include 3 sons, Gary (Karen) Firkin of New Albany, IN, Russell (Cindy) Firkin and Melvin Firkin both of Glasgow; 4 daughters Sheila (Jeff) Centers of Glasgow, Diane Burnette of Hiseville, Sue Martin and Patricia (Eddie) Faulkner both of Glasgow; 2 brothers James (Barbara) Burris and Cecil (Margaret) Burris both of Glasgow; a sister Faye (James) Hoover of Glasgow; sister-in-law Dee Burris of Glasgow; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Herman Burris preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, December 20th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2pm Friday.
