Gilbert Wayne "Gil" Sewell 72 of Glasgow died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his home. He was born in Nashville, GA the son of the late Bill and Verna Godwin Sewell. Mr. Sewell was self-employed and attended the Sovereign Grace Church. Survivors include his wife Linda; 7 children Kaye Shea of Glasgow, Shae Langley (Matt) of Georgia; Ivan Sewell of Glasgow, Iris Sewell Hoffman (Matthew) of Glasgow, Lena Hills (Chris) of Glasgow, Tisha Sewell of Georgia and Alex Sewell (Lindsey) of Bowling Green; 18 grandchildren Charity Chapman (Tyler), Caleb Shea, Jacob and Beth Langley, Payton, Austin and Kenley Sewell, Bo and Isabelle Hoffman, Taylor Birdwell (Ethan), Madison Hills Nelson, Halle, Andrew, Analee and Samuel Hills, and Jayden, Nox and Texas Sewell; 3 great-grandchildren Gracie, Parker and Nori Chapman; 3 brothers Erroll, Ashley and Harry Sewell and 5 sisters Sara Hendrix, Billie Ann Suddeth, Laverne Prosser, Betty Sue Pilon and Jannace Vaughn. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 12th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4pm until 8pm and Friday from 9am until 11am.
