Glatys Royal Wells, 80, of Glasgow, died Thursday, December 25, 2003, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A Barren County native, he was the son of the late Hershel and Ollie Mae Wilkinson Wells. He was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ, a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired heavy equipment operator for the Kentucky Highway Department. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, June Morrison Wells; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Linda Wells, of Glasgow; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jerome Bell, of Clarksville, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Dru Dulaney and husband, J.D., of Wytheville, Virginia, and Lauren Wells of Glasgow; one brother, Thomas Wells and wife, Doris, of Glasgow; three sisters, Louise Miller and husband, Billy, of Crestwood, Kentucky; Martha Depp and husband, Ralph, and Bonnie Poore and husband, Jimmy, of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, B.G. (Nell) Wells, Richard (Billie) Wells, and Jerry Wells. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 8:00 a.m. until time for services on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
