Gloria Bowles

Gloria Jean Bowles 78 of Glasgow, died Saturday September 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Glasgow, the daughter of the late Aubrey Lee Hawks and Blanche Barrick Hawks. Mrs. Bowles was a retired machine operator at Eaton Axle Corporation in Glasgow. Prior to that she worked at RR Donnelly, Handmacher and a short time with T.J. Samson Hospital. She attended Glasgow Wesleyan Church. Survivors include her husband J.W. Bowles of Glasgow; 1 son Kendall Bowles (Stonetta) of Glasgow; 1 daughter Janet Bowles of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Amanda Eversole & Lindsey Bowles both of Glasgow; 3 great grandchildren Reagan Thomas, Bella Eversole & Noel Isenberg all of Glasgow; 1 brother Elwood Hawks (Brenda) of Aldophus, Ky; 1 sister Donnell Wells (Billy Joe) of Glasgow. Several nieces & nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Mark Bowles and a brother Clinton Hawks. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday September 15, 2015 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
