Goldie Cook

Goldie R. Cook, age 85 of Leitchfield passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born August 3, 1929 in Grayson County, Kentucky the daughter of Charlie Holmes Newton and Annie Stewart Newton. She is survived by her daughters, Judy House of Leitchfield and Sheila Logsdon (Brian)of Clarkson, sons, Charles Cook, Jr. of Cadiz, Elroy Cook of Leitchfield, Wendall Cook of Mississippi, Gary Cook and Randy Cook both of Leitchfield, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cook, a son, Alden Cook, sisters, Delpha Hall & Janie Hack and brothers, Lloyd and Ernest Newton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Billy Hack officiating. Burial will be in the Calvert Cemetery in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
