Grover Dean

Grover 'Bill' Dean, Sr. 78 of Glasgow, died Friday, September 29, 2006 at the NHC Healthcare Center. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late John Cleveland and Janie Ellis Dean. Mr. Dean was a carpenter and farmer in the New Salem Community of Barren County, member of the Temple Baptist Church and Veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife Margaret Jolly Dean, 1 son Rev. Grover Dean, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Glasgow, 4 daughters Carol Dean of Florence, KY, Vickie Pace and husband Frankie of Glasgow, Linda Dean of Paducah, KY and Alma Ray and husband Joe of Bowling Green, KY, 1 brother Jack Dean of Franklin, KY, 1 sister Mary Byrd of Glasgow, 2 brothers-in-law Elwood Vance of Indianapolis, IN and Davis Wilson of Hiseville, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery with Military Honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 3PM Monday, October 2, 2006 at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of memorial contributions to the New Salem Cemetery Fund.
