Grover Shain

Grover Shain, 83, of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, February 19th, 2014 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. He was born on December 25th, 1930 in Grayson County, the son of the late Stylie and Eula (Wilson) Shain. Grover was a retired farmer and served in the US Army. Grover is survived by his son, Dewayne Shain and two daughters, Mary Ann Parks (Westley) & Esther Logsdon all of Caneyville; six grandchildren, Dakota Logsdon, Dustin and Deanna Parks all of Caneyville, Jessica Holcombe of Germany, Amber and Evan Shain both of Florida; two great-grandchildren, Traven and Zaylen Logsdon of Caneyville and two great-grandchildren on the way; two sisters, Regina Noble and Brenda Hendricks both of Louisville. Grover also had a close friend, Jonnie Dockery. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Elmore) Shain; their two sons, Bruce and Johnny Dewayne Shain; two sisters, Doris Parks and Faye Crawford and two brothers, George and Jimmy Shain. The family has chosen cremation.
