Hallie Owens

Hallie Mae Owens 73 of Glasgow died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Eskel Oakes & Martha Jane Houchens Oakes. Mrs. Owens was of the Baptist faith and attended the Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Donald Lee Owens of Glasgow; 2 sons Gary Buckley (Beverly) of Shepardsville, KY and David Buckley (Starla) of Glasgow; 3 step-children Kay Roemer (Jaime) of Glasgow, Tera Stice (Larry) of Park City, KY and Bucky Owens of Glasgow; a sister Marie Clark of Glasgow; a brother Bobby Oakes of Louisville, KY; 6 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Katie Grider and 2 brothers Aubrey Oakes and James Oakes. Funeral services will be 11:30am Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
