Harold Lee Spear

Harold Lee Spear passed away on August 19, 2022, at the TJ Samson Community Hospital. Harold was the son of the late Carl and Leona (Brown) Spear. He was a graduate of Temple Hill High School and attended Bowling Green Business College. Harold was employed at the Glasgow Daily Times 42 years where he was the former Advertising Manager. He was most recently employed by Gillie Hyde Auto. He held several offices in the Travelers Protection Association, both state and national levels. He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. Harold is survived by his former wife, Peggy Tinsley Spear; three brothers, Carl Robert Spear (Cora), Edwin Spear (Patricia) and Elmer Spear (Judy) all of Glasgow; one sister, Ruth Nole (Jerry) of Bowling Green; a brother-in-law, Mike Goad of Glasgow; a sister-in-law, Glenda Spear of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Spear; a sister, Linda Spear Goad; a brother, Glen Spear. The funeral service for Harold will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23rd at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00 PM until 8 PM Monday, and Tuesday morning until time for services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Calvary Baptist Church. A.F.
