Harry Davis Galbraith, Jr. 70 of Glasgow, KY and formally of Paris, KY died Wednesday December 28, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Paris, KY the son of the late Harry and Martha Ritchie Galbraith. Mr. Galbraith was a 1953 graduate of Paris High School and had owned and operated G&M Market in downtown Paris in the 1960's. He retired after 25 years from IBM and was a former member of the Ky National Guard, the Oddfellows and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Glasgow. He is survived by his wife Alison Venables Galbraith; sons Gare Galbraith of Charlottesville, VA and Troy Venables and wife Julie of Danville, KY; daughters Kelly Galbraith Geoghegan and husband Philip of Lexington, KY and Cindy Venables Allstrom and husband Jeff of Glasgow, KY; 7 grandchildren McKenna and Patrick Geoghegan, Max and Alex Venables, Jeremy & Kelsey Bray and Olivia Allstrom; sisters Delores Mongol of Florence, KY, Sherry (Ronald) Howard of Carlisle, KY and Roxanne (Larry) White of Cynthiana, KY a brother Jerry (Donna) Galbraith of Carlisle, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00pm CST Saturday Dec. 31st. at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Assn. or the American Heart Assn.
