Harry Lee Lyons 98 of Glasgow died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Diversicare of Glasgow. He was born at Freedom, KY the son of the late George Lonnie Lyons and Lottie Jane Sherfey Lyons. His wife was the late Mable Elizabeth Proffitt Lyons. Mr. Lyons was a farmer and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow and a former member of their color guard unit. He was a former member of the Temple Hill Lions Club and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Jo Thomas (Guy) of Bowling Green; two grandchildren Mark Robert Thomas (Kimra) of Lexington and Susan Beth Dickson (Kent) of Union, KY; two great-grandchildren Elizabeth Caldwell Dickson and Grant Thomas Dickson and his two brothers Roger Reid Lyons and Richard "Bubby" Lyons (Norma) of Glasgow. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sisters; Erma Whitehead, Jeanette Clark, Mary Bush and Wilma Dyer, brothers; Rondal, Russell and Earl Lyons and a nephew Gary Bush. Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, December 4th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 until 2:00. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to The Hospice Program at T. J. Samson Hospital or Mt.
