Helen Mathews

Helen Maxine Mathews 83 of Glasgow died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Claudie and Willie Marian Humphrey Borders. Helen retired from SKF Industries after 29 years of service without missing a single day of work. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold O. Mathews. She is survived by her son Orval Mathews and wife Julie of Glasgow; 1 grandson Colin Mathews and wife Lindsey; 3 granddaughters Riliee Mathews, Jordan Jones and Jodi Jones and 2 great-grandchildren Kamryn Jones and Weston Mathews. She is also survived by a sister, Lisa Patrick and by Steven Patrick whom she raised and two nieces Lois Bowles and Linda Green. Funeral services will be 11am Friday January 2nd at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Thursday.
