Helen Shipley

Helen Smith Shipley 84 of Glasgow, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County, the daughter of the late Albert and Pearl Button Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Shipley, a daughter Carey Louise Spratt, and four brothers, Earl, Clifton, Leon and Jackie D. Smith. Mrs. Shipley was a farmer and a homemaker, an avid fan of country music and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Danny Shipley (Shawn) of Scottsville; 8 grandchildren Kevin Branham (Anita) of Auburn, Gary Branham (Laura) and Mark Branham (Angela) of Shepherdsville, Darren Shipley (Mary) of Hendersonville, TN, Lennea Wooten (Tony) of Glasgow, Deanna Catlett (David) of Louisville, Tammy Hornak (Jeff) of Shepherdsville and Morgan Shipley of Bowling Green. Thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 1pm Monday, June 23rd at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon Sunday.
