Henry Loyd Skaggs, Sr., age 86 of Big Clifty passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Louisville VA Medical Center.A He was born July 2, 1930 in Horntown, Kentucky the son of the late Roy and Florence Smith Skaggs.A He was a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hay Skaggs of Big Clifty, four daughters, Michelle Decker (Brent) of Jonesboro, TN, Marsha Jaggers of Leitchfield, Renee Tate (Burt) of Hanna, OK, and Robin McKee (Mark) of Louisville, two sons, J.T. Skaggs of Charleston, SC and Henry Skaggs, Jr. of Florida, one step-daughter, Michelle Jeffrees of Clarkson, three step-sons, Darrell Embry (Debbie) of Clarkson, Tim Embry (Michelle) of Big Clifty, and Clint Embry of Anneta, one brother, Gordon 'Bud' Skaggs (Doris) of Leitchfield, two nieces, Debbie and Judy Skaggs, one nephew, Dr. Greg Skaggs, sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one special great grandson, Braydon 'Doodle Bug' Akridge. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Skaggs, and a sister, Helen. A
