Herman Houchens

Herman Ray Houchens 75 of Glasgow died Tuesday October 9, 2007 at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Joe and Rose Houchens. Mr. Houchens was a farmer and a former employee of the City of Glasgow and was a member of the Bethel Independent Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Mildred Glass Houchens; 3 sons Donald Houchens (Barbara) of BonAyr, Bobby Houchens of Glasgow and Billy Joe Houchens (Brenda) of Glasgow; 4 daughters Patricia Jones (Edward) of Cave City, Vickie Frazier of Glasgow, Roberta Fields (James) of BonAyr and Jennifer White (Jeremy) of Glasgow; a daughter in law Teresa Houchens of Glasgow; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters Ruth Allen of Glasgow, Janie Berryman of Summer Shade and Myrtle Jones of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Houchens and a sister Frances Barr. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday October 12, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
