Herman Kingrey 85 of Glasgow died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a Barren County native, a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church, a farmer in the Dry Fork community, a member of the Dry Fork Community Club and Austin Tracy Lions Club. Herman was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II serving in the Philippines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Devasher Kingrey; his parents, Radford and Frances Hood Kingrey; three sisters Vernell Spradlin, Daisy Eubank and Ailene Key and four brothers, James, Floyd, Millard and Thurman Kingrey. Survivors include one daughter, Jean (Norbert) Gentry; two sons, Terrell (Marcus) Kingrey and Ronnie (Jackie) Kingrey all of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Lisa (Danny) Vibbert, Patty Gentry (Brian Goodson), Leslie (Tracie) Gentry, Meredith (Erin) Kingrey, Matt (Hannah) Kingrey and Ryan Kingrey; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Paris (Betty) Kingrey of Glasgow, Curtis (Dorothy) Kingrey of Louisville, and Ewing Kingrey of Glasgow; 1 brother-in-law Joe Fred Key of Glasgow; 3 sisters-in-law Lera Mae Kingrey of Glasgow, Betty Kingrey of Indianapolis, IN and Virginia Kingrey of Glasgow. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Friday.
