Hilda Mae Copas 91 of Louisville and a former Barren County resident, died Wednesday August 28, 2013 in Louisville. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Bessie Mae Gray Alexander. Mrs. Copas was a homemaker and was retired from Kentucky Pants Co. She was a member of the Bonayr Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter Rosita Whittle of Louisville; her daughter-in-law Sharon Copas of Louisville; 6 grandchildren Lori Pellman, Connie (Jim) Shelton, Bonnie (Troy) Lyons, Johnny (Lesa) Copas, Carrie Copas and Rodney (Jerry Riney) Copas all of Southern Indiana; Several Great and Great Great Grandchildren; a former daughter-in-law and mother of the surviving grandchildren Helen Ruth Copas; a brother James (Dorothy) Alexander of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Murrell Copas; a son Johnny Wayne Copas; son-in-law Donald Whittle, a grandson Wesley Neal Whittle, a brother Alton Alexander and her sister Ruth Waller. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Rocky Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 12pm until 8pm and Saturday from 9am until service time.
