Elwood Lockhart 70 of Glasgow died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was born at Bonayr, KY the son of the late Homer and Kathryn Louise Patterson Lockhart. Elwood was a professional truck driver and was retired from Dart Container. He served with Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 623rd Field Arty. KY Natl. Guard during the Viet Nam War. Elwood enjoyed bowling, travel and RV Camping. He was a founding member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Arlene; 1 son Chad Lockhart and wife Amanda of Glasgow; 1 daughter Kim Miller and husband Lamar of Smiths Grove; 3 grandchildren Jonah Miller, Macy and Laney Lockhart; a sister Marilyn Lockhart Gold of Merry Oaks; a niece Chance Groves of Merry Oaks; 2 nephews Chris and Greg Short of Glasgow and other family and friends. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude
