Howard Shirley

Howard Shirley, Sr., 77, of Glasgow passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Howard was born in Barren County on February 18, 1944, to the late Hugh Shirley and Bernice Jessie Shirley. Mr. Shirley was a lifetime farmer and will be missed by all that knew him. He departed life doing what he loved best. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Wooten Shirley of Glasgow, three sons, Robert Howard Shirley, Jr (Jolee) of Bowling Green, KY, Christopher Shirley (Melinda) of Glasgow, KY, and Tommy Shirley (Stacey) of Glasgow, KY; one daughter, Rita Shirley of Glasgow, Ky; grandchildren, Samantha Shirley Willian (Andrew), Jessica Bernice Shirley (Michael), Owen Crain, Adam Shirley, Jakob Shirley (Cammie Pitcock), Joshua Shirley, Zachary Carver, and Star Spray (James); Three great grandchildren; 9 brothers & sisters; 3 sister in laws. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers. Funeral service for Howard Shirley, Sr. will be 2:00pm Friday, April 16th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00am until time for service at the funeral home. A.F.
