Ida Pearl Christian

Ida Rutherford Christian, 86, of Glasgow passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born March 2, 1928 in Edmonson County, the youngest of ten children born to Urias Sherman Rutherford and Ann Jones. Ida was a graduate of Park City High School and a longtime member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a Sunday school teacher. Ida was an employee of the Barren County Court Clerk for 18 years and several years at Glasgow Community Development. She was married to her husband, Allison Bayard Christian, Jr. for 42 years until his passing in 1989. She is survived by their three children, Michael Christian (Robin) of Jeffersonville, IN, Angela Clay (Michael) of Glasgow, and Geoffrey Christian of Bardstown; two grandchildren Christopher Clay and Matthew Christian; two great grandchildren McKenzie and Conner Clay and a step grandson John Clay (Cheryl) of Munfordville. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, September 14th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1pm Saturday.
