James Albany

James WheelerJim Albany 91 of Glasgow died Friday November 25, 2011 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County, a son of the late Will and Alice Wheeler Albany. Mr. Albany was a retired employee of the South Central Rural Telephone Co-op. He was a veteran serving as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during WWII and he attended the Church of Christ. He is survived by 4 nieces, Kim Moore and husband Joe Michael Moore of Glasgow, Laquetta Garrett of Bakersfield, CA, Dani Lott and husband Dennis of Little Rock, Ark. and Billie Scroggins and husband Wendell of Montgomery, AL; a nephew Eddy Albany of Bakersfield, CA; brother-in-law Homer Bill Cooksey of Glasgow; and a sister-in-law Georgia Beth Albany of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Evans, Bill and Charles Albany and 2 sisters Christine Cooksey and Jessie Albany. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, November 28, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm Sunday.
